Project abstract
The SMScom project aims at developing a consistent, integrated, and homogeneous set of methods and tools for the design, validation, and operation of dependable self-managing situational software. We consider software that runs on fully distributed, decentralized and pervasive infrastructures whose structure may change dynamically.
Requirements and available software components may also change dynamically. Applications must be able to behave properly according to the evolving situation in which they operate. They must be able to this autonomously, by self managing themselves in order to provide the required levels of quality of service. This is a 5-year project, which started on 1 December 2008.

Project results
The goal of SMScom is to develop frontier research. It will mainly produce publications to be presented internationally. It will also contribute to new advanced teaching material.
