The Department, in addition to the more traditional areas of research, has also strategically identified five transversal research areas, whose methodological, technological and applicative development contributes to the efforts of all research areas, each with the peculiarities of the disciplines that distinguish them. These lines are further enriched by interdisciplinary collaborations within the Department but also extended to the rest of the University and to the national and international scientific community.
