The Laurea (equivalent to Bachelor of Science) is accessed after high school; it lasts for three years and corresponds to 180 credits. The curriculum covers a broad range of fundamentals and promotes the learning of general scientific methodologies and topics, as well as specific professional knowledge. The curriculum is very similar for the first two years and gives students the opportunity to choose between two options in the second semester of the third year: either to attend a traineeship in a company, or to follow courses that will prepare them for the Laurea Magistrale (equivalent to Master of Science).
