2016 IEEE Best Young Author Journal Paper Award
2016 - COLOMBO ALESSANDRO
The ad-hoc Committee, formed by Giuseppe Conte, Franco Blanchini, Alessandro Casavola, Maria Pia Fanti, Luigi Fortuna, selected Alessandro Colombo as recipient of the "Best Young Author Journal Paper Award – 2016 of the IEEE - Control Systems Society - Italy Chapter", for the paper "Least Restrictive Supervisors for Intersection Collision Avoidance: A Scheduling Approach" by A. Colombo and D. Del Vecchio IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control 2015, Volume: 60, Issue: 6".
The motivation is “The paper considers a cooperative conflict resolution problem that has practical applications. The problem is solved by developing an innovative, efficient methodology and the obtained results are original and sound. One year after publication, the the paper has a number of citations in the current literature that points out the relevance of the topic and the value of its results.”
The prize will be awarded during the annual meeting of the Società Italiana Docenti e Ricercatori in Automatica – SIDRA on September 7th, 2016 in Roma.
