Riccardo Vismara received his Master degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2003 at the Politecnico di Milano, Italy, with a master thesis entitled "Design and development of a simulation bench of systemic circulation". At present he is PhD student in Bioengineering at LaBs (Laboratory of Biological Structure Mechanics), Politecnico di Milano. His research activities include in vitro study of hemodynamics, focused on blood interacting devices such as oxygenators, prosthetic valves and pumps for extracorporeal circulation.
