My interest in combining biology with technology, and my wish to help and contribute meaningfully, have led me to the fascinating field of Biomedical Engineering. As an MSCA PhD Candidate of IMPLANTEU, I am designing and developing a Human Endometrium on Chip model at BiomimX and PoliMi. My research focuses on creating a human relevant model to study embryo implantation and endometrial diseases. During my master's in biomedical engineering and medical physics at Technical University of Munich, I completed an exchange semester at National Taiwan University and conducted my thesis at the Institute of Integrated Cell Material Sciences (iCeMS) at Kyoto Uni versity, the birthplace of iPSC research by Nobel laureate Shinya Yamanaka. I believe that stem cell and organ on chip technologies are most promising to understand, treat and cure pathologies, and I want to devote myself to their research. In addition to my research, I am an ambassador at EURL ECVAM, advocating for alternatives to animal testing and promoting ethical, human centered approaches in scientific research. I am committed to driving innovation in human relevant science to improve healthcare and reduce animal experimentation.
