Gianfranco Beniamino Fiore has a Master degree in Mechanical Engineering (1994) and a PhD in Bioengineering (1998), both obtained at the Politecnico di Milano. He had post-doc fellowships in the period 1999-2003. Since 2004 he is an Assistant Professor at the Politecnico di Milano, in charge for the course of Laboratory of Biomachines (Master degree in Biomedical Engineering). He is with the Bioengineering Department, where he holds the responsibility for the Experimental Micro and Biofluid-dynamics Laboratory. From 1995 to 2005, he was a teaching assistant and the responsible for tutorials in the courses of Artificial Organs and Biological Transport Phenomena. Supply Professor at the University of Pavia since 1999. He has been in charge for several research agreements issued by the Bioengineering Department. He was the assignee of a Young Reasearchers Project in 2002, and a scientific consultant for Dideco S.p.A. (1998-2001), within the Italian National Research Program Icaros II. He is author of 25 peer reviewed international papers in the fields of experimental biofluid dynamics, biological transport phenomena and the design of biomedical devices.
