Rony Aad is a first year Ph.D. student of 39th cycle in the department of electronics, information, and bioengineering (DEIB) at Politecnico di Milano.
He holds a master’s degree in industrial chemistry, in the field of multifunctional polymers with flame-retardant properties from Università degli Studi di Milano, Italy, and bachelor’s degree in chemistry, and a teaching diploma from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon.
His main research area is the recycling in the fashion industry focusing on utilizing sericin and fibroin materials from silk industry by-products.
