Ferran obtained his master on Bioengineering at Institut Quimic de Sarria – Universitat Ramon Llull in 2017. Mr. Lozano did his master thesis at Massachusetts Institute of Technology working on tissue engineering for cartilage regeneration. After his studies, he decided to delve more into diagnostics and microfluidics joining Atantares Corp., a startup using MEMS and microfluidics for coagulation diagnostics.

In 2020, Ferran has been selected for the MSCA-ITN-SINERGIA project at BiomimX. He is currently researching on a Heart on Chip model for drug cardiotoxicity assessment and on the industrialization of uBeat®, a patented organ on chip technology for mechanical cellular stimulation. Ferran’s main interests are entrepreneurship, microfluidics and diagnostics to enable individual precision medicine.
