Valentina D.A. Corino received the Laurea degree cum laude in Biomedical Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano, Italy, in 2004. In 2008, she received the Doctorate degree (PhD) in Bioengineering defending the thesis “Analysis of Endocardial and Surface Recordings during Atrial Fibrillation”. From 2008 to 2012 she was a post-doc at the Department of Biomedical Engineering of the Politecnico di Milano, Italy. Since 2012 she has been assistant professor at Politecnico di Milano, Italy. Her research activity lies in the field of biomedical signal processing with main interests in signals of cardiovascular origin, especially regarding supraventricular arrhythmias. She collaborates with the Department of Electroscience and the Department of Cardiology, Lund Institute of Technology, Sweden; the Dipartimento di Scienze Cliniche e di Comunità, Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico, Università degli Studi di Milano, Italy; Department of Electrocardiology, Medical University of Lodz, Poland; Cardiology Division, University of Rochester, NY, USA; Dipartimento di Informatica, Università degli Studi di Milano, Italy. She is author of 25 peer reviewed papers on international journals, 31 conference papers and 3 book chapters in the field of cardiac signal processing. She is referee of international journals such as IEEE Transaction on Biomedical Engineering, IEEE Transactions on Information Technology in BioMedicine, Medical & Biological Engineering & Computing, Artificial Intelligence in Medicine, PLoS ONE, Computers & Electrical Engineering, Methods of Information in Medicine.
