Matteo Scaietti was born in 1999 in Segrate (MI), Italy. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Engineering Physics from Politecnico di Milano. His Master’s thesis, entitled “Directional Coupler Resonators for an Efficient Quantum Memory in a Laser-Written Photonic Chip,” focused on the development and analysis of integrated photonic structures for quantum applications.
He is currently a PhD candidate in Information Technology – Electronics at the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering (DEIB), Politecnico di Milano. He is a member of the i3N – Innovative Integrated Instrumentation for Nanoscience research group, where his research focuses on integrated electronic and photonic devices, with particular emphasis on light sensors and actuators for the electronic control of silicon carbide photonic circuits.
