Silvia Bozzi has a Master degree in Environmental Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano (2002) and has obtained a Ph.D. degree in Hydraulics in 2008 on the numerical simulation of particulate flows in complex geometries. Since 2018 she is teaching assistant at the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering of the Politecnico di Milano. Her main research interests include wave energy conversion; thrombogenicity of mechanical circulatory support devices and prosthetic heart valves; point-of-care testing of platelet function. She has been assistant lecturer in the courses of hydrology, land hydraulic protection, maritime hydraulics and CFD for energy engineering. She is author and co-author of 10 peer reviewed international papers in the field of wave energy conversion and computational hemodynamics.
