Sommario
Wednesday, April 2nd, at 5.00 pm a new appointment of Data Science Seminars series titled "An Introduction to Computational Social Science" will take place at DEIB Data Science and Bioinformatics Lab (Building 21).
During this talk, we will have, as speaker, Francesco Corso, PHD Student at Dipartimento di Elettronica, Informazione e Bioingegneria.
This seminar provides an overview of computational social science, addressing key challenges and methodologies. Focusing on misinformation and conspiracy theories, we explore how big data and AI-driven analysis can uncover patterns in online discourse. Specifically, we examine the role of network analysis, machine learning, and causal inference in studying digital narratives, and their societal impact.
The Data Science Seminars meetings are primarily meant for all the 'Data Science and Bioinformatics lab' members, but anyone potentially interested in the topics is more than welcome to attend.
