Diego Pagnoncelli holds a degree in Economics and Data Analysis and is currently a PhD candidate in Bioengineering. His master's thesis focused on Text Mining, with an emphasis on analyzing the evolution of topics during the first wave of Covid-19 in Italy. The research covered several areas, including the study and application of machine learning models (Topic Modeling) related to Natural Language Processing (LDA, CTM, and DTM), as well as sentiment analysis. Currently, his research project focuses on developing advanced technological solutions in the field of Clinical Engineering, with particular attention to the integration of Artificial Intelligence to improve clinical diagnosis of melanoma. His research explores the use of connected dermatoscopes and body scanning machines to optimize diagnostic processes. His research activities are primarily conducted at the Spedali Civili Hospital in Brescia, where he focuses on data analysis and the optimization of medical technologies to improve diagnostic processes and the quality of healthcare. He is passionate about interdisciplinary research, with a particular interest in the application of technological innovation in medicine.
