The ISPL-Realynx team secured 1st place across all tasks in the SAFE: Image Edit Detection and Localization challenge, organized by the UL Research Institutes - Digital Safety Research Institute and held at the 2026 Winter Conference on Applications of Computer Vision (WACV 2026).

The proposed system—developed by Daniele Ugo Leonzio, Daniele Moro, Sara Mandelli, and Paolo Bestagini—automatically detects whether an image has been manipulated, identifies the type of alteration, and accurately localizes the edited regions.

This result underscores the group’s ongoing commitment to advancing the state of the art in multimedia forensics.
