Lorenzo Gianquintieri, a researcher at the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering – Politecnico di Milano, has been selected among the 24 early-career researchers who will take part in the 2026 edition of the European Talent Academy.

The European Talent Academy is an international networking and advanced training programme jointly promoted by the Technical University of Munich and Politecnico di Milano, in collaboration with Imperial College London. The initiative is aimed at outstanding young researchers and seeks to strengthen scientific skills, academic leadership, and the ability to develop interdisciplinary and international collaborations.

Gianquintieri’s research focuses on Health-Geomatics, namely the application of geomatics technologies to health and healthcare-related data, with an orientation towards data science methods, in particular Machine Learning and GeoAI models. The goal is to develop analysis frameworks and processing platforms that can support decision-making processes in the management of healthcare resources, territorial monitoring, and prevention activities, with special attention to environmental analysis and out-of-hospital emergency medicine.
