New Generation Healthcare - NGHC is the innovation infrastructure dedicated to Digital Health presented by Politecnico di Milano and admitted to funding as per D.D. 140 of 22-6-2022

The project, coordinated by the Politecnico di Milano - with the contribution of the University of Milan - has been selected by the Ministry of University and Research and financed with EUR 14.5 million, within the EU-funded Mission 4, 'Education and Research' - Component 2, 'From research to enterprise' - NextGenerationEU.

NGHC aims to build an innovation infrastructure that recreates the physical environments of care together with a series of technology laboratories with the objective of leveraging digital technologies to accelerate the adoption of technological, architectural and organizational solutions that are increasingly effective, efficient, safe and sustainable, and that touch on all phases of the patient journey, from prevention to the management of chronic conditions.

The project aims to involve the entire ecosystem of care: from universities to clinics, from public bodies to patient associations, from large companies to start-ups, and is configured as a public-private partnership.

The call for tenders for the selection of private partners who will co-finance the centre at 51%, becoming its co-owners, will then be brought to the Board of Directors of the Politecnico on 20 December 2022 and published in January.
