
Prof. Stefano Zanero of Politecnico di Milano’s Dipartimento di Elettronica, Informazione e Bioingegneria is among the 50 most prominent personalities in the field of cybersecurity in Italy reported by Italian Tech.
The list was compiled by privileging the ability to build something lasting such as companies, organizations or associations and to shape ideas and culture. The editorial staff of Italian Tech evaluated the visibility of the people considered, the presence at international conferences, academic events and conferences, citations in newspapers and interviews on radio and television.
Prof. Stefano Zanero has a degree in Computer Engineering at Politecnico di Milano, where he currently teaches as an Associate Professor. In particular, he deals with the security of cyber-physical systems, computer virology and data analysis applied to security. Speaker at numerous IT conferences of a technical-scientific nature, he has launched several startups in the cybersecurity sector: in 2004 he founded Secure Network, in 2011 he co-founded 18Months, and in 2016 BankSealer, a spin-off of the Politecnico that provides machine learning solutions for the detection of bank fraud.
