Prof. Monica Vitali, from the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering at Politecnico di Milano, has been elected Chair of the Green ICT Working Group of Informatics Europe.

Informatics Europe is a European non-profit association that brings together university departments, research centres, and industry organizations in the field of computer science, promoting collaboration, quality, and the impact of research and policy at the European level.

Active since 2023, the Green ICT Working Group addresses sustainability challenges in ICT, promoting both the development of more energy-efficient and environmentally sustainable digital infrastructures and the use of ICT to support the green transition across different sectors. The group develops studies, recommendations, and European-level initiatives on topics such as impact measurement, policy, and sustainable design.
