The birthday will be celebrated on the afternoon of April 12, 2024 at the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering (DEIB).
The event will be organized in two stages:
From 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., in "Emilio Gatti" Conference Room, the history of AIRLab will be retraced through the voices of its protagonists, including: Andrea Bonarini, Riccardo Cassinis, Marco Colombetti, Marco Dorigo, Michele Folgheraiter, Giuseppina Gini, Maria Gini, Giovanni Guida, Enrico Pagello, and Domenico Sorrenti. Highlights of the AIRLab journey will be recalled, including: the first industrial robot in an Italian university, the first fully autonomous mobile robot in Italy, the first network of artificial intelligence machines in continental Europe, humanoid robots, the participation in the world championship of soccer robots (Robocup), the wheelchair guided by brain signals, off-road and on-road autonomous vehicles, robots for agriculture and inspection, and social robots for play and disability.
From 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. there will be an opportunity to visit AIRLab's current location in Building 7 and toast together.
