The paper "A Parity Check Analog Decoder for Molecular Communication Based on Biological Circuits" authored by Alessio Marcone (DEIB student - Politecnico di Milano), Massimiliano Pierobon (a researcher of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln), and Maurizio Magarini (DEIB researcher - Politecnico di Milano), has been selected by the IEEE INFOCOM for the Best Paper Runners up Awards, with the motivation: "The paper provides a significant contribution to the field of receiver design using biological circuits".

IEEE INFOCOM is top-ranked conference on networking in the research community.
About 1500 papers are submitted to the conference for oral presentation each year, and this year's overall acceptance rate was 20.9 percent. Only two are selected for distinction.
