Amigoni co-chair of the IEEE RAS MDR WG

Francesco Amigoni, a DEIB Associate Professor, is the co-chair of the IEEE RAS Working Group on Robot Map Data Representation for Navigation.
The other co-chair is Wonpil Yu (ETRI, Korea) and Matteo Matteucci is one of the WG members.
The WG has developed an approved IEEE standard for robots. The standard IEEE 1873-2015 specifies a map data representation of environments for mobile robots performing navigation tasks. The standard provides data models and data formats for two dimensional metric and topological maps.
