Eugenio Lomurno is an Information Technology PhD student at Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering of Politecnico di Milano advised by Prof. Matteo Matteucci.
He received a Master’s and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering respectively in 2020 and 2017 at Politecnico di Milano.
His interests span from general Artificial Intelligence to applied Machine Learning, from Computer Vision to Time Series Analysis, with particular regard to last Deep Learning architectures and techniques.
With his MsC thesis "SR-MVS: Multi-View Stereo enhancement through Super-Resolution" he aimed at investigating how to improve the robustness of the Multi-View Stereo pipeline and how to effectively exploit the synergy between Deep Learning and classical geometric 3D reconstruction methods.
His current research field is named "Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence" which includes Data Mining, Machine Learning and Deep Learning techniques applied over human beings structured and unstructured data.
The goal of his PhD is to find new solutions to improve human well-being through the data collected and in an ethical manner and in compliance with privacy policies.
Actually he is involved in the European Commission's ESSENCE project (Horizion 2020) with the role of data scientist.
