MENDOZA LOPETEGUI JOSÉ JOAQUÍN

José Joaquín Mendoza Lopetegui was born in Santiago, Chile, on December 5th, 1996.
He received his B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in 2019. He later continued his studies in a double degree program, receiving his Professional Electrical Engineering degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and his M.Sc. in Automation and Control Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, both in December 2021. His M.Sc. thesis concerned the development of an active health monitoring system of landing gear components in aircraft. From February to April 2022, he worked at DEIB in the MOVE group as a Research Fellow.

Since May 2022 he is a PhD candidate in Information Technology, Systems and Control area, and his research interests include on-ground lateral stability control for aircraft, impact of landing gear component wear on aircraft ground handling, and optimal control for high-performance race cars.
