Federico Porcari was born in Milano, Italy, on August 16th 1999. He received his Bachelor's Degree (cum laude) in 2021 in Automation and Control Engineering from Politecnico di Milano. While pursuing his Master's Degree at Politecnico di Milano, he spent a semester at the Delft University of Technology (TUDelft), the Netherlands, as an Erasmus+ exchange student. He obtained his Master's Degree (cum laude) in Automation and Control Engineering in 2023 with a thesis on novel direct data-driven control algorithms for input-saturated systems. Starting from December 22nd, 2023, he is a Ph.D. candidate in Information Technology at Politecnico di Milano. His current research interests are in data-driven control and system theory applied to explainable system identification and control.
In July 2024, Federico Porcari won the Best Young Author Award at the 20th IFAC Symposium on System Identification, held in Boston, USA.
