Laura Boca de Giuli was born in Borgomanero (NO), Italy, in 1999. She received the Bachelor’s Degree cum laude in September 2020 and the Master of Science cum laude in May 2023, both in Automation and Control Engineering from Politecnico di Milano.
Her Master’s thesis concerned modelling, predictive control and lifelong learning applied to district heating systems through physics-based neural network techniques.
In 2021, she spent a semester as exchange student at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (Switzerland). In June 2023, she enrolled in the PhD programme of Information Technology - Systems and Control area - at Politecnico di Milano, where she is currently conducting research on modelling, control and supervision of industrial and energy plants via innovative machine learning methods.
