Francesco Asaro is a PhD student of the XXXIV cycle in Information Technology at the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering, Politecnico di Milano, Italy. He received the B.Sc. (2015) in Geomatics, cum laude, from the "Parthenope" University of Naples and the M.Sc. (2017) in Environmental and Geomatic Engineering, cum laude, from Politecnico di Milano, writing his thesis in Radar Remote Sensing under the supervision of Prof. C.M. Prati. During 2018, he extended the results of the thesis work, developing an algorithm for space-based river monitoring on behalf of the Italian Institute of Environmental Protection and Research (ISPRA). His current research interests are related to Radar Remote Sensing, in particular, development of novel algorithms for Land Cover Land Use classification.
