Sommario

On November 28, 2025 at 4.00 pm Luca Cordioli, PHD Student in Information Technology, will hold a seminar on "Designing Inclusion: Technologies and Accessibility" at DEIB  HOC-LAB (Building 21).

The seminar explores recent research on technological inclusion in the age of artificial intelligence and extended reality. Through studies and case examples from European universities, we will discuss how design can become an ethical and participatory act capable of restoring dignity and autonomy to people with diverse cognitive, sensory, and motor abilities. From co-designed wearables for older adults to companion robots for the elderly and accessible VR for blind users, the seminar offers an overview of emerging methods and visions that are redefining the meaning of “accessibility.” The goal is to reflect on how technology can be not only functional but also inclusive, placing the person, not the algorithm, at the center of digital experiences.
