Sommario
On July 24th, 2024 at 11.00 am the seminar titled "Introduction of Magnetorheologcial dampers with application to EVs" will take place at DEIB Conference Room "Emilio Gatti" (Building 20).
The rapid rise of electric vehicles (EVs) in the market coincides with an increase in motion sickness among passengers. This presentation analyzes the root causes of motion sickness in EVs, focusing on the interplay between sprung mass motion control, unsprung mass vibration, and rapid torque variations from the electric motor.

Next, we examine response time tests and results for both Magnetorheological Dampers (MRDs) and Conventional Dampers (CDCs), highlighting the benefits of MRD suspension in mitigating motion sickness. Finally, the presentation will showcase the application of MRD technology in various EV models.
