On May 22nd, 2024 at 4.15 pm the seminar "Convergence at the crossroads: Navigating the Future of Telco in an AIdriven and integrated Internet-ITCybersecurity landscape." will take place at T.01 room (Building 13).
The telecommunications industry is undergoing a profound transformation, driven by the rapid technological advancements and increasing market competition. This transformation extends beyond fixed and mobile services, as the industry is witnessing a robust integration with Artificial Intelligence, enabled by key infrastructures, such as Giganetworks, Data Centers, Cloud and Cybersecurity.
AI's potential to automate processes, enhance customer service and drive innovation across all market segments is pushing telco companies to incorporate it into their operations and products. Fastweb’s “make” approach, with a company’s Centre of Excellence (COE) team since 2020, highlights the commitment to leverage AI to evolve into an ‘’AI Driven Company”. Moreover, Fastweb’s investments are focused on the latest technologies to fully embrace this transformation. The NVIDIA DGX SuperPOD reference architecture, installed in a state-of-the-art data center, will serve as the foundation for the development of AI and Generative AI applications and for the deployment of the first large language model (LLM) natively trained in the Italian language.
The integration of such systems with Fastweb’s Cloud, Edge and Cybersecurity infrastructures, will make available an end-to-end system through which companies, Public Administration, universities, research centers, startups and other players will be able to develop generative AI applications – from healthcare to education, from mobility to environment – while ensuring robust and secure management of data.
This will lead to a strong transformation of the country, projecting it into the future, consistently with Fastweb's purpose “To help Everyone build their Future with Trust”.
