On November 29th, 2023 at 2.30 pm Marco Giglio, Engineer at Huawei Research Center, will give a seminar on "Virtual Testing for Embedded Systems Development" in DEIB Conference Room "Emilio Gatti" (Building 20).
Embedded systems are everywhere, and they get more complex day by day. They allow people to travel, communicate and access the internet from almost any place in the world. Whilst their importance and benefits are clear to anyone, they also pose a number of problems due to the difficulties in testing them and verifying their correct behaviour.
This seminar will introduce some of the key challenges that industries face everyday while developing embedded systems, and will show how companies are overcoming them by adopting virtual testing techniques. We will show a few examples that demonstrate the need for accurate testing techniques and explain how to apply them from the earliest phases of the development to the final product.

Marco Giglio is an Embedded Tools Software Engineer at Huawei Research Center.
He has 9 years of industry experience in embedded systems, many of them spent on virtual testing techniques.
As part of his work he researches innovative software solutions to be adopted in the development of cars, industrial controllers, simulators, code generators.
Marco holds a Master Degree in Computer Science from University of Trento and Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna.
