Sommario
On October 18th, 2023 at 5.30 pm Francesco Amigoni, Full Professor at DEIB Politecnico di Milano, will deliver the next talk of the series AI Seminars on "Algorithmic challenges in coordinating moving agents". The seminar will be hosted by CEFRIEL in Mindspace.
Warehouses, video games, streets, and airports are increasingly populated by robotic systems that autonomously move around a physical environment. Coordinating the movements of such agents poses several algorithmic challenges, especially when the application requires some guarantees about the absence of collisions and about the time to complete the missions. In this seminar, we will introduce some variants of the problem of coordinating moving agents and the algorithmic solutions, both classical and based on machine learning, recently developed to solve them. Examples will be taken from the domain of automated warehouses.
AI Seminars are a series of talks to foster the study of artificial intelligence in Milan.
An aperitif will be served after the seminar.
