On March 22nd, 2023 at 12.15 pm, a new CommTech Talks will take place at DEIB PT1 Room – Building 20.
The RF board design is a challenging activity that requires not only a deep expertise in the theoretical basis of electronics and electromagnetism, but also skills that cannot be acquired during a university lesson. So, there are those who define the RF board design as a topic between an engineering project and a work of art.
During this session, we will have a look at the design flow of an RF board designed for a 4x4 5G O-RAN Radio Unit. Particularly, we will not focus on theoretical aspects based on mathematical formalisms which you already learned during RF design courses, but we will have a look at the complicated and disparate design aspects that an RF engineer must also consider, as long as the iterations with colleagues from different areas of expertise.
CommTech Talks @ POLIMI are a series of seminars and panels organized by the study program in Telecommunication Engineering of Politecnico di Milano for stimulating the networking between students and people from industry and research.
