The DEIB has spawned the first two spin-off companies of the Politecnico di Milano: the Tre (TeleRilevamento Europa) in the year 2000 and Web Models (now WebRatio) in the year 2001. Out of the many companies participated by the Politecnico di Milano, a lot of them have been founded by DEIB members.
