Project abstract
The EUPEX project brings together academic and commercial stakeholders to co-design a European modular, Exascale-ready pilot system. This collaborative effort will deploy a pilot hardware and software platform that integrates the full spectrum of European technologies, showcasing their readiness and scalability - particularly that of the Modular Supercomputing Architecture - for future Exascale systems.
EUPEX aims to actively support the European HPC industrial ecosystem and to prepare both applications and users to efficiently exploit upcoming European Exascale supercomputers.
The project is part of the EuroHPCinitiative, with the overarching goal of strengthening European sovereignty in the field of high-performance and supercomputing technologies. It also highlights the application of results from the European Processor Initiative.

Politecnico di Milano participates in EUPEX through the HEAPLab of the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering, involved via the CINI consortium. The main focus of Politecnico’s contribution is the development of tools for the deployment of applications on heterogeneous architectures for high-performance computing.
