Marzio Barresi was born in Caltagirone, Italy, in 1996. He received the M.S. degree (cum laude) and the European Ph.D. degree (cum laude) in Electrical Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano, Italy, in 2019 and 2023, respectively. He is currently an Assistant Professor (RTD-A) at the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering, Politecnico di Milano, where he has previously held the position of Postdoctoral Research Fellow from 2022 to 2023. His research interests include power electronics and electrical drives. His main focus is related to the modeling and control of modular multilevel converters to integrate renewable energies and storage systems into the electrical grids.
