Davide De Simone born on November 5, 1993, in Varese, obtained his master's degree and European Ph.D. in electrical engineering in 2017 and 2021, respectively. During the final year of his Ph.D., he held the position of electronic R&D engineer in the field of power electronics in a company specialized in the integration of grid-scale energy storage systems. Between 2022 and 2023, he worked as a research fellow at the Power Electronics, Drives, and Storage Systems (PeDS) laboratory of Politecnico di Milano, focusing on modular multilevel converters for automotive and stationary applications.
Currently, he serves as a researcher at the Department of Electronics, Information, and Bioengineering (DEIB) in Politecnico di Milano. His research interests encompass modular multilevel converters, openended electrical drives, and energy storage systems.
