He received the Laurea degree in electronic engineering in 2004 and the Ph.D. degree in power systems in 2008 (with a thesis on application of neural networks to power system security assessment), both from the University of Genoa. From February 2008 to June 2010, he has been with the University of Genoa, through a research grant. From July 2010 he is currently assistant professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering of Politecnico di Milano.
