He was born in Milano, Italy, on February 7, 1946. Doctor Degree in Nuclear Engineering in 1970 at the Politecnico di Milano, Italy. Appointed associate professor of Electronics in 1982 at the Politecnico di Milano. Former appointments: assistant professor of Physics at the Politecnico di Milano (1974-76); associate professor of Physics (1976-1982) at the Politecnico di Milano. Since 1971 he is carrying on his research activity at the Politecnico di Milano, at the Department of Physics and, from 1984, at the Departement of Electronics and Information. He has given contributions to the design, construction and testing of advanced electronic instrumentation for high precision physical, biomedical and mechanical measurements. His main interests have been the design of very low noise instrumentation and experimental studies on the 1/f noise behaviour of electronic devices, both discrete and integrated. He is now working on integrated low noise HEMT charge amplifiers.
