Emeritus Professor of Politecnico di Milano.

Antonio Pedotti, Full Professor, is Director of the Biomedical Technologies Laboratory (TBM Lab) at the Bioengineering Department. He was Department Director and since 2003 he is Member of the Academic Senate at the Politecnico di Milano. From 1976 to 2003 he has been Director of the Bioengineering Center (Don Gnocchi Politecnico) and from 1987 to 1995 Scientific Director of the IRCCS Don Gnocchi. He was Member of the Consiglio Superiore della Sanità and since 1990 he is President of the A.I.I.M.B. (Italian Association of the Medical and Biological Engineering) and since 2001 President of the SIAMOC (Italian Society for Movement Analysis in Clinics). He is "Member-at-large" of the Governing Council of International Academy for Medical and Biological Engineering (IAMBE). From 1980 to 1990 he was national representative in the COMAC-BME of the European Community and he was coordinator of many projects of the European Commission. His research interests are focused on Information Technology applied to biological systems and medicine. His scientific activity is documented by hundreds of publications, including about 200 full articles in scientific journals indexed, 15 books and 30 patents.
