Born in 1947. Laurea degree in Electronic Engineering in 1971 at Politecnico di Milano. 1971-1986 Lecturer, Assistant and Associate Professor at Politecnico di Milano. In 1986 he became Full Professor of Electrical Network Theory at Universita' di Brescia and since 1989 he is with the Politecnico di Milano. In 1982-83 he spent one year in the Dept. of EECS at University of California at Berkeley (UCB) as Visiting Professor. His main research interests are in the field of Computer Aided Design of electrical circuits, electrical and electro-thermal simulation and modeling, numerical methods applied to network analysis. He is author of many scientific papers on international journals and conference proceedings. He has been (1996-2002) Chairman of "Dipartimento di Elettronica e Informazione" (Dept. of EECS) at Politecnico di Milano. From 2003 to 2010 he has been Rector’s Delegate for institutional and continuous education and from January 2011 he is member of administration board (CdA) of Politecnico di Milano. He has also been (1988 – today) Director for Education at CEFRIEL, an ICT Center of Excellence for research, innovation, education and industrial partnership. He has been President of “Tele Rilevamento Europa” and member of director board of “Aresys”, two spin-off companies of Politecnico di Milano.
