Saqlain Shafi was born in Kashmir, India, in 1998. He received his B.Tech degree in Electrical Engineering in 2020 from the Islamic University of Science and Technology and his M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering in 2023 from the University of Pavia, Italy.
In January 2024, he joined the Ph.D. program in Electrical Engineering.
His main research interests include multilevel converters, the integration of renewable energy into the grid, and the optimization of multilevel converters for advanced power electronics and energy systems.
