Haiyang WANG is a first-generation college student and researcher pursuing a Ph.D. program in Politecnico di Milano under Prof. Luca Mainardi. Born at a village in Northeast of China, he developed a curiosity and persistence to explore the world during his study. He obtained his M.Sc. in ECE from University of Macau, China in 2016.
From 2013 to 2016, he worked on heart sound signal analysis as a student research assistant in E-health Care Lab in University of Macao. In 2015, he was selected as a visiting research student with scholarship on retina image processing in University of Porto, Portugal. Prior to pursuing Ph.D., he worked as a senior lecturer in China.
His research interests are AI in Medicine, Generative AI, Foundation Model, Medical Imaging Analysis.
