Filippo Ghisio is a researcher specializing in biomedical and electronic engineering.
He earned his master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering with honors from Politecnico di Milano in 2024. During his studies, he focused on nuclear medicine techniques for both diagnostics, including SPECT and PET, and therapeutic applications such as radiotherapy, hadron therapy, and Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT). His master’s thesis involved developing a SPECT detector for real-time monitoring of dose delivery during BNCT.
Currently, he is pursuing a PhD in Information Technology (Electronics Area) at Politecnico di Milano under the supervision of Professor Carlo Fiorini. At the Radiation Detectors and Low-Noise Electronics Laboratory (RadLab), his research centers on developing a detector for real-time dose monitoring during BNCT treatments. This detector is intended for clinical use, aiming to enhance the precision and safety of this therapy.
