I am an Assistant Professor in the Data Science Lab within the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering (DEIB) at Politecnico di Milano. I am also affiliated with the Observatory on Social Media (OSoMe)at Indiana University Bloomington, and I have been a Visiting Scholar at the Information Sciences Institute of the University of Southern California.
My research focuses on Responsible AI at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Computational Social Science, examining how digital platforms and online ecosystems are influenced and transformed by generative AI.
I develop data-driven methodologies to foster trustworthy and safe AI systems, with a particular emphasis on mitigating AI-amplified misinformation and disinformation, and on strengthening the safety, accountability, and integrity of digital environments in the age of intelligent automation.
