Aurelio Raffa Ugolini was born in Milan on July 16th, 1996. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematical Engineering (Ingegneria Matematica) in September 2018 from Politecnico di Milano. He continued with a Master’s Degree in Mathematical Engineering (Applied Statistics major) at Politecnico di Milano, from which he graduated Cum Laude in April 2021 with a thesis on real-time blackout forecasting via graph representation learning. Starting from November 2nd, 2022, he is a PhD student in Data Analytics and Decision Sciences at Politecnico di Milano and a member of the MOVE research group.
His research is focused on scientific applications of Machine Learning, including data-driven model discovery, inverse problems and uncertainty quantification.
