Consciousness, Life, Computers, and Human Nature: Federico Faggin at DEIB

Federico Faggin, world-famous physicist, engineer, inventor and entrepreneur – best known for having designed the first commercial microprocessor and author of many books on the history of technological innovation, artificial intelligence and the nature of consciousness – will be a guest speaker at the Politecnico di Milano, where he will give a talk titled ‘Consciousness, life, computers, and human nature’.

Federico Faggin's speech will take place on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the ‘Emilio Gatti’ Conference Room at the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering (Building 20), during the annual PhD IT Colloquia Doctoralia.   

Colloquia Doctoralia are designed to give third-year Ph.D. students in Information Technology at the Politecnico di Milano the opportunity to publicly present the results of their research, verifying their scientific and technological value and possible impact on the industrial world.
