Davide del Giudice, a researcher from the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering – Politecnico di Milano, received the Best PhD Thesis Award from the IEEE Italy Section PES Chapter for his doctoral thesis titled ‘Simulation and Analysis of Modular Multilevel Converters Based on Isomorphism and Periodic Small-Signal Analysis’ written under the supervision of Prof. Federico Bizzarri.
The award ceremony will take place on December 4, 2023 during a Distinguished Lecture titled "Demand Side Management and Flexibility in Tomorrow's Power Systems," delivered in virtual mode by Dr. Bruno Meyer, formerly 2022 IEEE Vice President Technical Activities Board and since 2021 Secretary General of GO15, an association of very large power grid operators.
