Prof. Nicola Gatti’s research group from the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering of the Politecnico di Milano is among the participants in the European consortium ELIAS - European Lighthouse of AI for Sustainability, which was officially launched in Trento on September 6 and 7, 2023.
ELIAS is a network of excellence that aims to contribute to the establishment of a European 'lighthouse' on artificial intelligence, in line with the goals set by the European Commission. The consortium includes 27 beneficiaries and 4 associated partners. The aim of the four-year project is to develop AI tools for sustainability with a Technology Readiness Level (TRL) in the range 1-5. In particular, three major assets will be explored: AI for a sustainable planet, AI for a sustainable society and Trustworthy AI for individuals.
