
The article “A Review on Advances in Intra-operative Imaging for Surgery and Therapy: Imagining the Operating Room of the Future” has been selected as one of the top papers written in the Annals of Biomedical Engineering and has won the Athanasiou ABME Student Award.
Prof. Elena De Momi of Politecnico di Milano’s Dipartimento di Elettronica, Informazione e Bioingegneria is among the authors of the article, along with Sara Moccia (Dipartimento di Ingegneria dell’Informazione, Università Politecnica delle Marche), Paolo Zaffino and Maria Francesca Spadea (Dipartimento di Medicina Sperimentale e Clinica, Università della Magna Graecia di Catanzaro).
The award will be presented during the Biomedical Engineering Society annual meeting, held this year in Orlando, Florida October 6-9.
